Table Rock Lake Dam in SW Missouri

Normal pool level of Table Rock Lake is 915.00 Flood pool is 931.00. On Saturday, April 12, 2008 the lake level was 933.25.

In the first photo you can see water splashing over the top of the dam in addition to what's being released from the flood gates. The next photo shows all the flood gates open. At one time on Saturday they were releasing 83,000cfs into Lake Taneycomo. The had to do that because Beaver Lake in Arkansas was releasing about the same amount into Table Rock Lake!

The Kimberling City Bridge is usually high enough for fairly large boats to easily navigate under. I'm not sure a small fishing boat could get under there now.

I have 3 more photos somewhere hiding in attachments here! If I can find them, I'll add them to this message!

Sorry -- I couldn't figure out how to add more photos to my first message!

The first two photos are our boat dock. Where the wheels are now floating it's about 10 feet deep.

The third photo shows Dave and a lake neighbor using a paddle boat to get out to check the dock cables, etc. Where there's a will, there's a way!

sheesh! bottomline attached a pict on one of his threads of the docks at "the harbor" marina. i think right now if it holds water, its too high!!!

Great pics Jeff! We took a bunch of pics when the lake was at 928. too thinking "well, it'll never be this high again"! LOL! Silly us! We went to Kansas City this weekend and there's standing water everywhere -- "lakes" where there have never been lakes before. Truman Lake is as high as we've seen it in 30 years too.

I know this should go in "holding tank" instead of here but it seems appropriate and maybe Wesley and the powers that be will leave it for a bit?

A curious fellow died one day and found himself waiting in the long line of judgment.

As he stood there he noticed that some souls were allowed to march right through the pearly gates into Heaven. Others though, were led over to Satan who threw them into the burning fire.

But every so often, instead of hurling a poor soul into the fire, Satan would toss a soul off to one side into a small pile.

After watching Satan do this several times, the fellow's curiosity got the best of him.

So he strolled over and asked Satan what he was doing."Excuse me, Prince of Darkness," he said. "I'm waiting in line for Judgment, but I couldn't help wondering. Why are you tossing those people aside instead of flinging them into the Fires of Hell with the others?"

"Oh those . . ." Satan groaned.

"They're all from Missouri. They're still too wet to burn."

Holy cow Jeff! Like our lake, its hard to fathom (no pun intended) how high the water is. My friend Ron and I were commenting this past weekend on the reason all marinas put there electrical boxes so high!!!!!!

Its crazy! I don't mind the high water, although is does make getting to and from the dock a bit difficult, as much as I hate all the floating obstacles in the lake. Ran above a few this past weekend, Ron was in front of me by maybe 10 boat lengths, I followed his wake and there were a few spots where my low water alarm went off. Waterlogged logs about 3 feet below surface. Didn't hit anything!!!!!!
