Finally replaced my systems monitor which was dead when I purchased the boat. Any input on what I could check here? It says SEA RAY BOATS ALL SYSTEMS NORMAL then switches to this screen. I do not see an orange wire anywhere to connect. My stereo is disconnected as I’m redoing it.

Usually that message means that the coax cable is out, either behind the display, at the module. checked the coax?

The orange wire is 12v out to an external buzzer to sound the alarm when a fault occurs. Should be a little black disc zip tied to the switch panel wiring. That’s the buzzer.

Data link error is either a bad cable run between the Controller and the DDU, or a bad or not powered controller.

I believe these are all the same and have 3 connections. The Red and Black are DC Power, and the Blue is the backlight, so all your connections at the display are correct. The fact you display is working is a pretty good sign.

Correction...Orange may be for a buzzer...I cant remember!!

The issue is the coax connection between the Sytems Monitor Indicator Panel at the helm, and the Interface Module in the engine room. I'd locate the interface unit and make sure the existing coax is connected and clean the connections at both ends first

If that doesn't fix it, an easy way to diagnose it to get a length of new coax and run it from the display to the interface in the engine room. If that fixes it, you just need to neatly rerun a new coax.

Do this first and report back.

Mine says the same. I ran new coax and it did nothing to fix the problem. I am hoping ZZ13’s bilge module will fix it….

I bet it is dead. My buddies is the same on his 46. We used a test coax cable and nothing. Just waiting for him to tell me to help him with the maretron conversion.

Monitor worked and tested out alerts with new coax ran to the module. Should I take the time to see if putting new ends on the old cable works the or just run a new coax?

The issue there is you don't know where the issue is. New ends might not be the issue, and the cable could be hacked somewhere.

Try the new ends, there easy enough, but if that doesn't work be prepared to make the new run.

Cant hurt to try new ends. Hopefully you have enough room to try that, I think mine would be impossible to get to and to run a new coax would be a 2 hour job. But Ive run enough wires on mine to know the tricks.

I removed the connectors, stripped to clean wire, replaced the old connectors and all systems are normal! There was corrosion under the engine bay connector that was probably causing the issue.

I cannot find a buzzer under the helm. Any idea what I could connect to have an audible alarm on the orange wire?

Where is the Interface Module in the engine room? I can’t find it in my 2000 380 Sundancer.

Update: my control box is behind the large black box on the bulkhead in the engine room. The one on the left.

Success Update: I had two bad port batteries. As soon as I replaced the batteries, the fault went away.

My system monitor alarm constantly sounds. Like the bilge float switch is stuck in the on position but they are not. While the alarm is ringing the monitor says all systems normal. I disconnect shore power as well as shutting the batteries off and go through the DC breakers one at a time. Still hear the alarm. Any suggestions?
