Systems Monitor "Data Link Failure" Message

Bob- where exactly in your bilge was the system monitor interface module located? I'm having the same problem with a 2002 DA380 and I can't locate the module. The electrical schematics and the bilge layout diagrams that came with my boat don't pinpoint the location for the bilge module.

Thanks,
Al.

Al,
My module was on the starboard helm side of the engine compartment just about 6" below the top edge. It is black with a wiring harness plugged into it that resembles a large centronics end of the old printer cables. You should also be able to see the coax cable connected to it. I looked at the manual on line for a 2002 370 to see if there was any diagram that could help Pseudomind on another thread and it showed a display unit that was not anything like he replaced or the one on my 2006 320.

Bob, thanks for the quick response. I think Sea Ray changed from the old style systems monitor (kind of boat shaped display with separate LED's to indicate alarms) to the newer square display that shows actual text messages during the model year that my boat was built. (I think this is the case because the original supplemental documentation in my owners manual shows the old style systems monitor, not the one that's actually installed in my boat.) Nonetheless, your information has given me some ideas of where to search now (higher in my engine compartment), and thanks to you I now know what the interface box actually looks like. Thanks again for your help.
