I am having plasdeck put down in my cockpit and swim platform. I ended up buying it from a guy in the Carolina's and had him ship it up to me in Michigan. I was hoping to save a couple bucks by installing it myself but if course after getting it decided its best to not skimp and pay a professional to put it down. I have always had carpet in my boats but always finding myself not happy withy their appearance after only one season, but I'm hoping this stuff is going to hold up and keep me happy for a while. At this point I just have it laying on my floor to get the wrinkles out from shipping but it will be installed this week and I'll get some updated pics.

Did you get it from Travis of TTcustommarine? We ordered ours from him and he was very helpful. We just love the look of it and FWIW my husband and son-in-law put it down and they said it was not that bad to do. Am sure you'll love it too. Gets a bit hot in the sun but would still not hesitate to have it done. Good luck.

I had it put on my boat last fall and love the look. We are just starting to use it now and I no longer care about the kids dropping food or tracking dirt into the boat. It all either vacuums up or hoses out now.

I had Nuteak on my previous boats, great product. Simple Green works well for a good cleaning. It will get hot in direct sunlight and hot days but it's worth it. I now have a synthetic carpet which I am very pleased with too.

I got a quote from Nuteak for $200 each step. How does the cost compare with Plasdeck? I think $200 each step is outrageous.

The cost of mine was $4125 shipped. That includes a full boarder swim platform and a partial boarder for the entire cockpit. I am paying an additional $1000 to have installed.

I am am a neat freak and the major reason I decided on this stuff was for the easy clean up. I hope I love it

Cleanup up was the deciding factor of going with this instead of some sort of carpet. Can't wait!

I did get it from Travis at TT. He has been a pleasure to deal with through the entire process.your boat looks incredible, I hope mine comes out as nice. It doesn't seem super hard but I am a bit of a perfectionist and if I do it I will know where every mistake is.lol

I just laid it out in the cockpit and took pictures which I tried to post but they must be to big.... I'll try and get some on here soon.

Price varies depending on how much detail you have with the borders. I spent $14,000 for the upper cockpit, lower cockpit, swim platform, and 3 heads with full bordering in all locations. I even had the engine hatch bordered. It would have been much less if no bordering.

My problem is that I will notice every mistake that the installer makes and regret spending the $1000. Either I am WAY too picky, or nobody in my area does quality work anymore.

I bought SeaDek and love it. Did the swim platforms on the 400EC and just ordered bolsters for the 270. I wish I could remember what I paid but it wasn't bad and so easy to put down. If I were keeping the 400EC I would have the entire cockpit and cabin done in it.

I picked up a 94 300 dancer this summer and the carpet in the cabin is in rough shape. It's also hard to keep it clean (or as clean as it can be given its condition). So I've been thinking about putting something like plastdeck in the cabin as well as the cockpit.

I havent concidered seadeck, but that might be an option....
