I have a 2008 Sundancer 310. The switch panel on the dash (that has the hatch switch on it among others) suddenly stopped working. (See attached photo) All the switches don't work. Interestingly the bilge blower, that has a second switch on the main panel in the salon, still works, but the big problem is the hatch switch. I have tried a replacement panel I managed to find from a 360, but it didn't work either. I have had an electrician check and the panel is getting power. I have been told the problem may be with the EIM. I have been in contact with the people at FP Marine and they offer a replacement for both switch panels on the dash as well as for the EIM for $3700! Seem like a lot. But here is my big problem right now: There are two EIM's one under the dash and another in the bilge. To get to the bilge one, I need to raise the hatch, but the switch is not working. I have had someone use the small access hole under the aft seat to pull the pin on the hydraulic lift, but apparently the hatch weighs over 500 pounds!?! They have managed to wedge it open a few inches and propped it with a 2x4. How can I raise the hatch to get to the second EIM? Help please! Is the hatch that heavy? Is there a better way to raise it?
