Hi All,

Several us us older Sea Ray owners have had extended swim platforms added from Swimplatforms.com and highly recommend them.

They fit perfectly and look like factory equipment. The owner is very easy to do business with also. Here is a link to a pic of my boat on his site http://www.swimplatforms.com/350_sundancer.html

And I'll attach a few pics of mine. The other one is a '91 310DA

It is also nice that they have a real SeaRay look!

Is the mounting the same as original on other types?

Peter

Looks like a nice product. You should add it to the links page. Just click the "Links" button above.

Hi Peter,

I assume the mounting is about the same as factory. On mine I did not need any support brackets as the build up in the platform itself is very strong. So I needed no attachment points under the water line. Capn Ron on the other hand does have stainless brackets supporting his.

I did post a link.

Here is a pic with a few friends having a cocktail
Capn Ron is in the yellow trunks.

I'm trying to build up my post numbers before he get in here and hogs all the bandwidth

I have already sent him an e-mail about this.

Looks like you guys have a lot of fun!!

I think the most SeaRay's don't have support brackets, but with your friends I don't know if it's strong enough!

I also hope you can bring your SeaRay friends here!

And we help you to make your posts! :smt024

Capn Ron is in the house. And first of all whatever white nights has said about me is probably not true.

I can attest to the swimplatform. We love ours.

Welcome Capn Ron!

What kind of Searay you got?

Peter

Hey Capn Ron,

I figured you would have to come here to defend yourself

Peter,

His boat is the 310 tied up next to mine in the first post of this thread. And truth be known............he got his platform first and after I saw it, I knew I couldn't live without one

Plus we are slip neighbors and I couldn't let him out "Jones" me.

Before my 360DA I also had a 310/330DA

Very nice boat, only problem in the end was the leaking problem from rain.

Here are some photo's.

These things are great! I posted these pics in another thread, but I'll chime in here too. I highly recommend these platforms to anyone who doesn't have one. It's a great addtion and the quality is first rate. There's a good reason why extended swim platforms are standard on many new boats. FWIW, the owner of the company is a former Sea Ray employee.
Here is what it looks like on a small boat:

Freshly unpacked - notice the slot in the corner so that the hull ID isn't obscured:

Looks like you did a nice installation job yourself. Mine was a bit too large to try it myself on the ramp, glad I didn't try it.

My local Sea Ray dealer pulled me out of the water at 9:30 in the morning, drove 45 minutes to their shop, had the new platform up on a forklift waiting, mounted it, took lunch, and had me back in the water by 3:30 that afternoon. I almost did not have time to wax the entire boat below the rub rail before they were done.

They charged me almost $1k but it went so smooth it was worth every penny. Best money ever spent on the boat.

My sentiments exactly - we call ours the 'patio'. It's big enough for a couple of chairs.

A friend and I installed mine in the driveway in about 4 hours. I was fortunate to have some guidance from a fellow SRO'r who had just put one on the same boat as mine. He had done a pretty good job of documenting his project and posted it on the 'other site'.

Only real difficulty was getting the nuts and washers on the bolts inside the old swim platform. There is about one inch of vertical space in there so you have to get creative and fabricate special tools.

Mine weighs about 150 lbs so I can imagine that yours would be a whole diffferent ball game - prolly twice that. No doubt your money was well spent.

We feel it is like having a room addition, and I also can set up a couple lawn chairs on mine.

What I really like is that it gets us closer to the water as the main platform is so high about all you do is get your ankles wet when sitting on it.

I started off looking at the TNT lifts but didn't want to spend the big $$$ nor add the extra weight. Another friend has a 540 dancer with lift and it is cool to sit on it when about a foot under water. But a Million$$ boat better have cool stuff :)

The newer boats, like the 390 are way too high to suite me. I see some that you have to step up to even when at the dock and climb a couple feet down to touch the water.

I have made the comment that it was the best money we ever spent on the boat. Very nice and Scott was really easy to work with.
