I know this topic has been discussed before, but I did not see the information I was looking for. I have a 97 240 Sundancer. I am looking at getting a swim platform for around $1800. I have two real choices from what I can see www.swimplatform.com or swim-platform.com. They both seem to have a good product. However here is my question, one of the vendors only supports a 27" platform, and the other one has up to 48". Has anyone done larger than 27" on a 240, if so did you like it or have any issues with it dragging, etc? Also has anyone bought from swim-platform.com, if so how was your service/product?

Thanks for the help in advance.

I have a 97 Sundancer 250 and recently bought and installed a platform from swimplatforms.com. I LOVE IT! It fits like a glove, adds negligable drag or weight to the boat which was a concern, and makes the boat so much more usable and easy to board when swimming or doing water sports. I only wish I had bought it years ago.

I don't know about the other product you mentioned. I'm very satisfied with my addition!

Cheers,

Mark

Thanks I appreciate the response, yeah I am sold in getting one, just nervous about the install and where the current trailer eyelets move too. Did you install yours yourself?

Your trailer eyelets do not move. The swim platform is designed around them. The guys from swimplatforms.com are fiberglass and hull designers from the searay plant that was here in phx az. When it closed up they opened their own shop building the platforms. I have been lucky enough to live here in phx and meet Scott and his guys. They actually built my boat and remember it. They do fantastic work and yes it makes a world of difference in the usability of the boat. It's like adding on a patio! Trust me u will love this addition to ur boat. Worth every penny in my opinion

I have used swimplatforms.com about 8 times so far, and going off the pictures the swim-platforms.com look way too aftermarket and out of place.
