I ordered new swim platform trim for my 410DA to replace the existing stuff (which is pretty beat-up). I see that there are screws that hold the trim onto the swim platform (about every 6" or so), so I will certainly replace those. However, do I need to use any type of adhesive as well when installing the new stuff?

Seems like this project may be more difficult than anticipated--the new trim is quite rigid and doesn't look easy to work with. I think a heat gun will be necessary to open up the "channel" on the trim and install it on the platform. If anyone has done this before, I appreciate any advice you can share.

Thanks!

I would put some kind of adhesive in the holes you don't want the fiberglass to get saturated with water.

The lower platform lip molding??? I replaced mine on my 280. Soak it in hot water. That makes it very soft and easy to work with.
