At the end of last season we had a Nor’easter blow thru and my swim platform trim molding was ripped off (I’m on a Mooring). I 'm looking to purchase replacement molding an install it as soon as the weather here warms up. Can someone tell me where I can get the molding?

My original molding was attached with what looks like silicon. I’m looking for some suggestions how to reattach it to the platform. I did find a thread that speaks about 3m Super Weather stripping adhesive or using small screws from the inside every 12”. I thought about the screws but I envisioned them being thru the molding and platform, counter sunk with a washer and nut on the inside? I’m looking to do this right but I don’t believe in over complicating things if I don’t have too, I have limited free time!

Any suggestion??

You ever thought about just leaving it off? Mine fell off and the swim platform edge was finished fiberglass so I just left it off. It's rolled up under the port side stateroom bed... That stuff is ugly and hard to keep clean. I think it looks better without it...

I believe ours is held on with a few screws but you gotta remember this. If the boat is in a situation like it was again your going to be ripping the screws out and cracking fiberglass instead of the thing just sliding off.
I have had okay luck with compound on a rag for cleaning the strip but it does get dirty easily and is a pain to clean.

to clean it - use white towel and acetone, and it will look as new
one more thing - all new sea rays have molding installed using short #4 screws and to install new molding you will need heat gun to soften plastic.
