Swim platform removal on a 2000 340 sundancer

I replaced mine on an 88 340. Most of the swim platforms are through bolted if they are not part of the molded hull. Look under the platform for bolts. If you see bolts, then it will require one person inside and one person outside to remove the bolts. After the bolts and support brackets are removed, make sure you have some cribbing under the platform. The swim platform more than likely will have some type of sealant/adhesive holding the back of the platform to the hull. I used tapered wood shims and tapped them between the hull and the swim platform in several spots. You need to work them down between evenly. So I would tap a couple of times on one, move to the next, and so forth. It was amazing you would see nothing happen, then poof, the platform came free onto the cribbing.

What James said. The platform is sealed to the hull with white waterproof sealant. It took three people, wedges, and a lot of swearing to convince our 2000 410 deck to give it up and come loose. Be ready with jackstands and cribbing - its heavier than it looks.
