I just purchased a 1985 390 Sportfisher. I would like to see if someone could post some pics showing the swim platform on simular 390's. Mine has been modified with wood spacers between the platform and transom on the two inside mounts. It fit's nice and tight at the outsides but has a 1/2" gap at the two center mount areas. Looks pretty funky and seems weak. I would like to get this repaired before it goes back into the water next week. Any info would be helpful........ Thanks very much :smt100

Hi and welcome. I have an '86 390 sedan sport fish. My swimplatform doesn't have any wood pieces associated with it. Its bolted to the transom in several locations at its forward edge. There are 4 metal supports across the underside. Basically stainless steel flatstock. They form a triangle between the back edge of the platform and the transom.

We are actually away on our boat right now and don't know how to upload photos from my iphone. I can attach some photos later in the week.

May I also suggest that you check out the following post I started:

hope this helps

Hi thanks for your reply. Mine has the same supports and flatstock as well. Someone put 3/8" wood spacers at the two inside mounts between the transom and the platform.I tried to unbolt the inside mounts to expose the area so I could repair but quickly found out it's a two man job.I am hoping to make the repair this weekend. Thanks for the info.
