I have a 290DA with a GG Schmitt 3 step top pocket-mount sliding stainless steel ladder. There are small metal "U" shaped blocks on the side of the ladder in the track the steps slide up and down. They serve as a stopper to hold each extended step and keep it from sliding off the end (i.e. two rest against each other when extended). I have one to two broken pieces I would like to replace.
GG Schmitt is nice enough to sell them only as a "kit" to replace all the pieces for the low low price of about $80 plus shipping for what is practically like a few nuts/bolts. Anyone have suggestions on a cheaper place to buy or an old ladder someone has replaced that could be used for parts for a more reasonable price. At most these thing should be a dollar or two a piece.
