Swim platform ideas for older Sea Ray

If I had installed the platform on the top platform, as JimmyZ did, I would not have bothered with the venting. Mine is installed low, so there can be a lot of water landing on top of it, and also there can be a lot of water pushing up from the bottom. This can put strain on the hardware and can possibly cause problems. The vents relieve the pressure, and although not entirely, they help a lot. Also remember my platform comes out 28", which is a bit more than the fiberglass custom made type, such as what you get from www.swimplatforms.com
