I am in need/search of the swim ladder "locks" for a 1996 Sea Ray 370 swim ladder. The ladder slides under the platform and at the rear of the ladder mount are 2 plastic parts that lock the ladder back...essentially a stepped ridge that the ladder posts droop in to to keep if from extending while underway.

The parts are simply worn out but look easy to replace if I can find them. While underway the ladder can slide to stern and be half out of it's normally closed position. When this happens I am unable to drop my dinghy in the drink because the ladder is in the way. So I am looking for the proper fix as opposed to a bungee cord remedy.

Any advice or direction is appreciated.
Thanks
Bill

Can you post a pic of what you are looking for? I have a ladder off of our '99 370 and it might have the parts you are looking for

The style of your ladder is different than mine - unfortunately, I do not have any parts that look like yours. Ours is all stainless and is mounted in the swim platform. There is a company located in PA that manufactures the swim step ladders. I looked for the receipt and was not able to put my hands on it.

I would contact Sea Ray (Captn Rusty is who gave me this info) for information on the original manufacturer.

Good Luck

The design looks similar to mine on the 1996 33 Dancer. I cut some blocks of Delrin (or similar hard plastic) to what I believed to be the original design. The design incorporated an interference feature the holds the ladder in place. I cut the block to the attached dimensions and had to tune in the retaining feature.
