We have a 1995 Signature 220 BR which has a fairly short and fairly narrow swim ladder. It's no problem for my brother or I but my mom has a really tough time getting out of the water and has hinted that she'd really love an extension (like an additional step or two) to make it easier. Anybody have any experience with something like that? Any suggestions on where we might find one? Thanks much!

I can't remember the brand off hand, but we used to have (on the shelf) a "clip-on" extender for exactly that purpose. It was a 12" (or so) extension step that simply clicked onto the ladder's last rung when you wanted it (you couldn't leave it on permanently). I think there was even a double-step version.

We might still have it - I can check tomorrow. It wasn't something that we sold a lot of, so I just can't remember if it is still there, or not.

PM me around mid-day if I haven't got back to you. If we don't have it, I may still be able to find out the brand for you.

Have you checked these guys out? www.swimplatforms.com They seem to make a good product.
Im going to put one on my 175 sport sometime soon. The stock ladder does seem to be difficult to manage for the bigger folks.

Helpful info!
I'm looking for an different setup for the Missouri boat.
Many of my guests have a hard time with the stock ladder.
My FIL has artificial knees and we had to put him on a tube on the shore and then hoist him back on the boat.
