I think that this was discussed on the old SRO website, but has anyone had any recent experience with the SuperSideBar? I'm thinking about installing this on one of my countertops at my slip. It says you can use it in an outdoor kitchen, just wandering how it holds up to the elements.

Hello CSR Members:
Thanks for posting comments about the Super Sidebar. The system is suitable for outdoor use. You may want to cover the key pad to prevent fading if it will be in the direct sun for an extended period of time.
Let us know if we can ever help. - Super Sidebar Co.

I had one on my last boat.........it worked fine for about 2-3 months.......then the pumps on 3 dispensers stopped working. Your tech support advised that I send the unit back.....and they replaced it with no problems. All was good for about another 3-4 months and it happened again.

It seams that if I did't flush the pumps out after each use with fresh water......the syrups/sugars of the liquids being dispensed would clog the pumps.

I eventually traded in the boat with the unit not working..........and the new owner removed it.

We have recently improved the pump system for the Sidebar. It should not have those problems anymore. If you use thick liqueurs like schnapps or Kahlua you will need to flush the lines if its not going to be used for awhile.

I've got 2 on my boat that have served us well for a few years. Vodka, Gin, Bourbon, Tequila.... no issues.... at least that I am aware of. I've never tried the sweet/thick stuff in them.

It wasn't the lines that clogged..........it was the actual pumps. I read your brochure....cover to cover and don't remember it stating the need to flush out the system after every use.....or not to use " thick " liquor.

I don't ever remember the Tech guy mentioning it either........when they replaced the system with a new one.

Maybe it was just my unit.
