My 2005 sundeck 200 did not come with a front boarding ladder. Question to other sundeck owners; other the fact that the front is a 4 step (from pix I've seen) and rear is a 3 step, is your front ladder the same dimensions/model as the rear?

I talked to GGschmit and they wern't sure..I have it narrowed down to a 4 step with the same dim's as my back ladder. But since they are mounted differently (back mounted horizontal, front appears to be more vertical) I'm not 100% I'm getting the right one.

Thanks!

The front boarding ladder on my 220 is a different design than the rear ladder. The front one is white and folds up while the rear one is stainless steel and slides out. The extended part of the front ladder looks similar to the GGS white nylon ladder, but the attachment to the boat is wrong.

Just an FYI... If you didn't already know this, the front ladder isn't meant to be used from the water. It's used if you beach the boat.

And it hurts like a mother &@$%# on your bare feet!

On a 240 Sundeck, they are different ladders front and rear.

Did you look up the part numbers on the parts manual? If you don’t have one it’s easily available on Sea Rays website.

thanks for the info.. I'll check the 200 manual for part #..I would think the front ladders wouldn't be model specific but who knows..

I have a 2005 Sundeck 200. The bow ladder is 3-step and mounts a lot differently than the photo provided for the 220 above.

Hope this helps:

Is there a trick to retracting stern ladder while in the water? Current idea is to tie flat rope (webbing) to lowest rung as a permanent leash. Will retract and help to swing around.

I just reach down and grab the side of the ladder and pull it up. I had once thought about a leash, but it would be more in the way than it was worth, given it's pretty easy to just to pull it up by hand.

Fascinating. What is the logic behind this pray tell?

Bow distance from waterline to high? I’d love to have a ladder that you can board the bow from the water, for divers etc.

I find myself gravitating towards deck style boats since wife came w me to look at a used cruiser and said “... I’m not using that bathroom”.

Looking at outboards for salt life.

You can snap the ladder off if it is stuck in the sand then the back of the boat gets pushed one way or the other. Seemed silly to me until I saw how it actually gets used on the beach.
