Sundeck 270 hardly available, because was too bad or too good?

I have a Sundeck 200 2006 and I am very tempted to upgrade to a 270 just by youtube videos (never saw one in person) but I wonder why is so hardly available, can't find one on craiglist, boattrader, ebay, etc and makes me wonder, it was a lemon that Sea Ray didnt produce many or too good that who owns one dont want to sell it? Im in Colorado and I will try to avoid buy a boat from the coast (salty water) at all cost.

I just wonder...

by the way, not even in all youtube videos I can find a picture or video to see if an adult really can use the "toilet/head" because in videos looks a very small place ( I am 5'-10") . If anybody have a picture with an adult inside of that area, getting in or getting out (not doing their stuff lol) I will appreciate that.
The 270SD was a awesome boat, it wasn't a lemon....but it was expensive in comparison to the 240SD. I think when most folks looked at the specs they considered the two boats the same size so went with the 240. The reality is that even though the 270 was only 2" longer and 4" wider it was a much bigger boat than the 240.

The head in either boat is usable. Both models are good boats. I mad a similar first upgrade as you're planing. I went from the 200 Select to the 270SD.

The 240 has the radio in the storage area. 270 has it in the head of I remember correctly.

270 has a smaller integrated swim platform.

240 has a large bolt on platform.

270 is 1,000 lbs heavier than a 240.

260 is a really nice looking boat.

If the 260 is your choice, I would recommend that you avoid one with catalytic convertors. That would put you in the 2009-2010 range. I believe cats were added in 2011.

definitely I got the radio location detail messed up because I thought it was the 240. bolt on platforms are good? dont have experience with them.

I discarded the 270, now im with 260 in the first place or 240.

what is the problem with the catalytic converters? rust? I will like to try the newest boat my budget can handle.

No problem with the bolt on platform. It actually covers more of the outdrive so there’s less chance of hitting it with your foot as you climb onto the platform.

The oxygen sensors in the catalytic convertor equipped motors are prone to damage. This can put you into guardian mode and limit engine speed.

Search around here and you’ll see some threads on it.

Good point by Lazy Daze... The GL was 7,500 towing capacity and towed it very well. I had a weight distribution hitch as well which helped. Just make sure you are within your towing capabilities...
I think the GL's are actually underrated - not that I would push the limits, but it feels much more comfortable at it's limits than a similarly sized American SUV (I have a diesel GL and love it - close to 30mpg on the highway when not towing!).

+1...we are on our second one. I had a new diesel one on order... Then Volkswagen blew it all up. We ended up with a GLS gas ...it's a good 7 passenger vehicle... Very solid and heavy to your point.
