Can anyone with an early 2000s model Sundeck 210 post any pics of their transducer routing from the outside and inside of their boat? Mine has the swim platform and I have been trying to figure out how to route the transducer cable, but having a hard time settling on a location to drill through the transom.

There were different styles of swim platforms available - including the standard, built-in version. Not sure what you have.

Just go as high as you can so the hole is (ideally) above the water line. Even if you have to drill through a flange of a swim platform. From there, the routing to the helm is pretty straight forward - follow other wires/cables.

Yeah, I was looking at it and it looks like the transom would be really thick around the motor. The aluminum mounting brackets for the swim platform are pretty big and take up a lot of the space I originally thought I could use. The swim platform is the stock platform if that helps. From the inside, it is kind of boxed out around where the out drive is on the boat. It looks like it would take a really long drill bit to get through all the way.

I'm not following you with "standard" platform and "aluminum mounting brackets". The standard platform is the built-into-the-mold platform. There are no brackets - the platfrom is part of the deck/hull. If memory serves, the optional half-moon-shaped platform did not use any brackets.

I took a couple of pics and looked again. It is the half moon type from the factory. There are through-bolts, but i stand corrected on the aluminum plates. There are some on the exterior, but I only see bolts and washers inside, although the transom is beefed up around them. Not sure if there is some sort of hard plate inside the transom or not.

Can you send us pix of the swim step (outside of hull) ?

Mount the transducer on the bottom about half way between the keel and chine (centered between the 2 strakes). Drill the hole above it between the transom eye and the swim platform (in line with the eye).

Identify the bolts for the eye and then measure where the hole will be to be sure nothing is in the way.

Seal the hole with 5200 and put a clamshell over the hole.

I merely googled 210 Sundeck and dozens of pictures came up.
