It's the narrow stripe at the waterline of the boat just above the bottom paint. It's like pin stripe for a car.

The previous owner of our 89 340 Sundancer had removed all the stripes. It looked very plain and boring. My wife and I have since reinstalled the boot stripes and are in the process of putting all other stripes back on.

Another vote for keeping a boot stripe on her. My 270 looked "necked" without it, although I tend to think of it as naked. LOL

I removed all the stripes off our boat last winter and we love the look. It looks like a much newer boat. To me they really made the boat look dated.

Here you go with and without, I decided to leave my boot stripes off because in my personal opinion owning an older boat I believe it appears more timeless without.

Ok, it looks nice....Did you do what I'm thinking which is to go a bit higher on the bottom paint? I'm thinking even a higher curve up on the bow.

When I bought my 270 DA all the stripes were already gone, after seeing those pics makes me think. Hmmm.

Edit: Never mind i found a thread saying the 3M stuff is the way to go....
I'm in the process of removing mine to replace with new.
Question for those who replaced their adhesive stripes.
Where's the best place to buy new ones without the dealers trumped up price?
I'm looking for the best quality because, I will be applying myself.
