This maybe is a crazy question. I just got a 48. Has anyone modified side cockpit windows to be able to open?

I've never heard of it and I've followed the 48 market for a long time. That said, it would be an awesome improvement. Some of the next generation full-windshield Sea Ray's had opening side windows/vents.

FWIW, I have side vents in my 470DA and I never use them. It's probably not worth a complicated and expensive modification. Congrats on the boat! I wish I could modify my helm seats to swivel the way yours do! Drives me crazy they didn't do that on the 470s.
