The 20 amp circuit breaker trips on the hatch actuator in my 310. So far this has mostly happened on the way up but has also happened on the way down. Since the breaker is located in the engine compartment you can see why I am concerned that it may pop when I can't get to it. The amperage draw for EACH of the two actuators is 16 amp (32 amps total), so the 20 amp breaker popping is not surprising. SeaRay has not been very helpful in solving the problem, suggesting that I release the switch before the hatch is fully up/down and then momentarily operate the switch until it is in position. (That might work if the boat is at a dock but it is unrealistic for an emergency offshore.) SeaRay further says that the wiring for the circuit can only take 20 amps and therefore a bigger breaker is not possible. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?

I have had the same problem with my 07 310 Dancer. I lubricated the stainless steel arms that lift the hatch and the problem has not resurfaced. I try to do it a couple of times during the season. Hope it works for you and good luck.
