Sundancer 290 1996 ..

Just about to purchase a Sundancer 290 DA 1996 with 4.3lx gen plus mercuriser petrol/gas engines. Can anyone out there offer us some points to look out for during a survey. Good/bad points? Any feedback would be great. Thank you!

Great boat, but there are some common issues that you should make sure are addressed before purchase. No deal breakers, but either make sure the systems are working properly or adjust the price accordingly. #1- Genset, #2 AC/Heat system, #3 Windlass, #4 Dash panels fading, #5 Cabin Door tracks (Big pain), #6 Cockpit Carpet. These are the same issues everybody deals with but drive you nuts...

And I would add--signs the outdrives have been left in salt water for extended periods, no maintenance records, and I would do a mechanical survey including compression check, look at condition of oil in engine and outdrive, etc.
