Sundancer 280 OB?

Hey everyone!

I am in love with the new Sundancer 320 OB, but its a bit much for my budget. Anyone out there heard any buzz about making a smaller version of the Sundance with OB power?

At the boat show in March a Sea Ray rep told me they do intend to make a 280 or 290 Sundancer with the same layout as the new 320. No more specifics than that though.

That would be amazing. Is there anyway to get more info on this? Any chance for 2019?

Yes, I am looking to get a used Venture 370, or some other outboard based cruiser in a few years. I really would t mind yanking the engines out of my 320, bulking up the stern, and then adding a twin engine mount with twin Yamaha 350, or Suzuki 350. Would cost as much as the used Venture, and I don’t get the added bonus of taking advantage of all that extra space when the engines are removed.
Also want to look at power cats with outboards. Have seen some of those as well. Regal has the 33 XO, neighbor in the marina has one, looks really nice, not fond of the layout inside, but could work around it.

Anyone seen a Regal 330 SAV? Would love Searay to do this

Seems like the SAV increases deck space, but decreases interior room, so I like the trade offs made by sea Ray and the 320 OB, which is somewhat similar to the Regal XO. More room below, little bit less up top. In your case, sounds like you want the extra deck and fishing space on the SAV.
