Sundancer 260 350 Mag

Yeah I bet you can save more than $10,000.
Sounds like either way you're getting a great boat. THe 350 Mag in my opinion is a great engine. I test drove an '05 {before I bought this boat} with the Horizon version. That's a heavier boat but seemed good. The 6.2 is, as Doug mentioned, I think a great engine and that extra umph is always welcome. I haven't driven one with the 6.2 but it sure can't be bad.

If it were me I'd go for the '07 and 6.2, grab a bigger discount and add what your want.

Either way best of Luck.

If SeaRay put a 6.2 in a new boat it's probably for a reason. Weight on the 260's has increased exponentially. The 5.7 is ok, that's what I have. I bought this one used and would not have accepted anything less than this. Mine is an 04 so weight was not that much of a factor, because like I said when they changed configuration in 05, weight went up. If it was me, I'd take the 6.2 and add whatever options you're missing. Although wiring for some options is not easy.

Tim, did you buy the boat yet? I have a 2006 260Da 6.2L and boat on the rivers around Pittsburgh also. If you have any questions on the boat P.M. me. I'm guessing your buying at Fox Chapel?

Keets,
Not yet but close to the deal. Are you getting out of boating or just moving up? You are right I have been dealing with Ron at Fox Chapel on a new 07. He has given us a great deal and good money on our 2000 190 Cobalt.

No, I'm not getting out. I just read over my last post and it does sound like I was getting out. I think the 260 is a perfect boat. My 2006 260 6.2l outruns my buddies 2004 260 350mag which is a lighter boat. My wife wants a bigger boat 320 or 340 but I'm very happy with what we have. With more than 6 adults onboard I have to use the trim tabs or it takes awhile to get on plane. The trim tabs are tricky when you use them to get on plane but when they are used to level the boat out they are simple to use. You will love your 260 for the river.

Doug & Lisa,

Thanks for the good words. I am in Pittsburgh using the boat on the river. For the most part it will be my wife and myself. We do a lot of lazy cruising around the city.
Tim

Go easy on the macerator, I'm in Cincinnati.... as for the lazy cruising, that explains the Steelers...:smt043 Just kidding, I know I know I know,,,,,,,, a superbowl ring for each finger!! On topic, I like the 260 and it will be more easily trailerable than the 280 but after having a 250 for 7 seasons I don't think I'd ever go back... moral of the story for me is used 280 for 10's of K's less. But that's just me
