I purchased a used Sundance 380 (2000) in great shape. However the ice maker that was located on the top desk is not there and there is a huge void with power in there. I was wondering if any CSR owners have replaced that void with a refrigerator, as in my opinion, that would be more useful. LMK what make-model of refrigerator worked for you and where we can find decently priced 12V-120V units that can last. Thank you

Not sure it’s the same size, but I have two from west marine, Norcold universal fridges, stainless steel, one in cockpit, one in galley (slightly larger). The cockpit is holding up nicely for being outside, just add a bit of WD40 and wipe it down after each trip. 1 boat dollar, so not cheap...but does have a warranty...

I went with Isotherm when I transitioned from ice maker to fridge. $1k+. I spent 2 years trying to find any version of dorm fridge that would fit. Nada. If you want the 12V/120V and a fridge that fits yer gonna have to spend the long dollar...

I did it with a home depot dorm style fridge for about $125. I did have to cut out a little bit to make it fit. If I get 2-3 years out of it and have to replace it I'll be very happy. Obviously 110V only.

The Nova Kool R1200 is a direct replacement size wise for the Icetette ice maker. I purchased one of these to install on our 1997 450 sundancer. Only problem was I sold the boat before the unit was delivered. I have a brand new unit in the shipping box in the basement now. This unit is AC/DC.

This is the one I have in my 380, works great, holds about 40-12 ounce cans, plenty for what I need it for

Nice. Not a chance on my vintage 400/410 but you guys can save a ton of money doing it that way!

Surprised that there's that much difference between my boat and yours. Honestly it's the best upgrade I've made so far putting a fridge there. Saves on the up and down stairs when I'm on number 12 or so.......

It's quite a bit different. The 400/410 has no countertop over our fridge/storage area, it's fully inset into the side of the boat. It opens up the cockpit but also creates a "step" above the fridge/ice maker. Huge PITA if trying to use anything non-marine in that space.

Hey, 400 EC Michigan, I sent you a pm last week, but Im not sure it went through. Did you see it by chance?
