Recently purchased a 2000 260DA...it will be our first cruiser and we are really looking forward to enjoying some time on the water this summer. My wife is a big fan of open bows...but I finally convinced her on a cruiser. Her big request is that we get some sort of sunpad(s) for the bow so she can lay up there.

Anybody have this done...if so...who did you use? I've had a couple of people tell me just to use the nicer foam floats like this one...

I guess you could get two of those and put one on each side of the hatch...and then throw it in the water if you want to float.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
Scotty

My 280 came with 2 sun pads for the bow but not sure where they were made. I'm assuming they were from SR. They snap into place so I can leave them on while on plane. They are thick and comfortable too!

I have 2 of the west marine seats. Mine are a little taller and work great. Once on the hook they are my favorite seat in the house!

I bought two lounge chair cushions and matching pillows from Home Depot. They match my boat's decor and they're all-weather.

Here's a pic of one of the cushions:

My 290 came with bow pads. I use them on occasion although they are a PIA to store.

Did you purchase those in the Home Depot or order them? It appears it has a pillow attached to the top, is that correct?

Those look perfect.

I picked them up in the store. I wasn't looking for cushions for the boat....I was buying fertilizer and happened to see them on display. And that's actually not a pillow attached at the top. The cushions have 6 strings for tying to a chair (3 on each side) -- I have the top section folded under and tied to another string. It makes a great pillow.

I might buy some SNADs to hold them more securely. These don't require drilling -- http://search.sailrite.com/?freeText=SNAD

I have a HUGE set of bimbo pads on my 370 EC. Well, actually, they are usually in my garage, because there is nowhere on the boat to store them and they are a PIA to transport back and forth.

Tonka, those SNADS look perfect. The cockpit cover I got from GL actually covers the windshield. I thought it would only go to the top of the windshield where I already have snaps. I didn't really want to add more so these might just be the tickect!

We too use the West Marine seats. Love them!

interested in getting rid of your PIA's ?? :)

I looked at a garden center today and found a lounge cushion that looks like would work as Tonka did. Hadn't thought of that before. I'd seen the wm seats but like the idea of something longer.

some great ideas here
