Hi all. I'm new to my boat, a 2004 260da, and new to boating in general.
While inspecting my boat today, I noticed the circuit breaker for the sump pump had tripped. I re-engaged the switch, and soon, a significant amount of clear water started flowing from a through hull drain, intermittently starting and stopping. I was also running my a/c.
1) what is the function of a sump pump on this boat?
2) what are some reasons the circuit breaker would trip?
3) was the water from the sump pump? If so, where was it sitting?
4) What would have happened if I didn't notice the tripped breaker?
Thanks
