2005 340 Sundancer. My sump pump box was completely gummed up with orange thick rusty looking gunk. Probably from soap/shampoo from previous owner, as i never used the shower in the 3 years of ownership. I cleaned the box and pump.... this all started because my a/c unit was not draining properly into the sump pump box. After cleaning and troubleshooting everything, i found out the discharge line is clogged. I tried pushing water through with a high pressure nozzle attached to a garden hose with no luck. Looking for recommendations. Do i use chemicals like drano? Do i use a some type of router? Appreciate any advice! Thanks! Ron Layton

I wouldn’t use any chemicals. I would try to get at it with a snake or something. Just be careful not to poke a hole in the drain tube.

Maybe even replace it. If the 340 is like the 320 shouldnt be to bad to fish a new line. Pull the galley drawers out and you’ll see where it goes to a drain manifold on the side of the hull

I bought a tube cleaner brush from an aquarium supply shop. It about the right size. I pushed in from the outside and out from the inside. Scrubbed it open. I also dismounted the pump and used dawn dish soap and a small scrub brush. Works like a champ

I suggest changing the pump and switch in the shower box while you’re at it. The water witch switch is absolutely amazing

I believe some noflex would also help once cleaned up.
