Looking for advice on stops for our cruise up the bay in late June. We will be leaving our dock in Urbanna VA to Solomon’s the first night. From there a quick run to Herrington Harbor South for another night an on to Annapolis for two nights.

We will hit St Michaels for two nights but would like to add another stop in that neck of the woods. Are there any must go destinations for one or two day stay?

Oxford, Cambridge....I personally haven't been to either, but have gotten good reports from friends that did. OR, go all the way down to Cape Charles Town. We had a blast there.

You have to stop at the Kent narrows.... either for crab or the party

Oxford! Go! it’s quaint, very quiet. You WILL do some walking. But some them houses are 200+ years old. We were with our kids when younger and an older couple invited us in their house and made us lunch. Think St Michael with no tourism. You won’t find a party. But if you want the real old time eastern shore town that has boat yards that still Build boats by hand that you can walk around. DO NOT pass up the opportunity. Watch this thread, I will repost the best marinas to stay at. Disclaimer... if your looking for marinas with pools, fine dining, wine and cheese on the veranda at sunset, this ain’t your place.

Bringing back memories. Been 20 year since I been there. I bet it ain’t changed. Place was like Mayberry except they didn’t even have a sheriff. Or a deputy.

Thanks to everyone who replied. Any Marina recommendations at Kent Narrowa?
We always stayed at Mears Point Marina... perfect location, great pool, clean bathrooms and showers... you won’t want to leave

Red eye outdoor bar, big pool, grills, lots of coves to explore with zodiac. Can’t go wrong. Blueone right. I think it’s my wife favorite place.

This conglomerate Safe Harbor bought out Mears and a bunch of marinas up the east coast. Can’t say if good or bad. They like Marine Max. Well see. Friends say that Great Oak at Fairlee went to to sht since they bought from the Mears family.

Ok just looked back at your original post. Where you staying in Solomans? Safe Harbor bought a nice marina there. If you like it, they can direct to other SH marinas further north.

But you did, curious, I left Cleveland after growing up there up at 32. Couldn’t take the winters anymore. What possessed you to leave here to go to that god forsaken place? Job transfer?

Yes .... I hated Allentown PA... more then I liked the Chesapeake. I tried to open a new plant in Tennessee ...but the board knew I was a boater and saw thru my plan and put me in a corn field here in Indiana :(

Safe Harbor bought Zahnisers in Solomons and Brewers in Oxford also. Spring Cove is our go to in Solomons and agree that Oxford is a neat quiet little town. Safe Harbor Oxford has a nice pool, really nice bathrooms and they were working on new floating docks last year but we never made it there to verify. If you're traveling with kids you may want to give the Hyatt in Cambridge a look, lots of activities for kids and adults. Another quick stop could be Tilghman but not much going on there. Can't go wrong with Kent Island either.
