Hello SE Wisconsin and NE Illinois Boaters.....

Who's interested in doing a get together at some point this summer? A recent thread has dug up a good number of us, and it would be great to put some facese to the names on here (and give a reason to get the boat out of the slip!).

Pop a note in here if interested, and we can start to socialize ideas as the frozen tundra we live in warms up!

Bill-
If we still have water we are in!
We have some great sandy beaches just North and fantastic protected areas for raft off if it blows.
Come on up for Summer Fest, Air Show, or Harley 110th anniversary party. Mike

Yes, add us to the list!

We did the air show last year. Mike, I think you helped me get ideas for anchoring... it was a great day!

The family & I love going to that Racine breakwall and anchoring for the day... shallow enough to let the kid do her thing, and the break wall really protects from the waves.

If we time the get together when there is Italian Fest in Racine, we can dock/raft in the boat launch basin and listen to lots of great music. The launch basin is right behind the music stage of Festival Park. This is just north of the breakwall anchor area south of Reefpoint.

We are launching 5/1. On vacation that week and the next one. Now I just need enough time to make the boat ready!

We are scheduled for the 27th of April. As of yesterday, they were still ice fishing in the marina. Hopefully in a months time, the hard water will go away.

Skipper in Milwaukee is trying to figure out how to melt all the snow and ice from the plowed areas they dumped in the travel lift well - it has turned into a ice mass that fills the well and goes all the way to the bottom!

Our Docks at McKinley Marina MKE still ICE'ed IN. Dont get me worng I really like ice, Just in an insulated glass where it belongs. Good news is my to do list has dwindled down to A new Bulb for the cabin fridge, A new davit for the transome, new dinghy cover and larger drink holders in the dinghy center console. Were getting close!
