Hi guys, It’s Tony again. 2005 280 twin 4.3s. Port engine suddenly has 10 lbs less oil pressure than starboard. Heard no banging, no noises and no tapping. Runs normal. Oil pressure fluctuates up and down with rpms. Never goes under 30 lbs even at warm idle, but is still all of a sudden 10 lbs less than starboard engine. Was first going to change the oil filter then sender. Any other suggestions or things that I should check would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again,Tony

Agreed, verify it is not an indication problem. Swap sending units and check. If no joy swap guages. See problem follows?

just get a mechanical gauge instead of doing all that silly swapping. You will know and verify right away what is going on. Gauges/senders are faulty all the time. DOn't panic yet!!

Actually all you need is a 6 ft piece of copper wire, a couple crimp terminals and a 1/2 hour .
Disconnect the leads at the sending units and jumper the port sending unit to the sb engine lead and then reverse to compare. Same for guages.
