stupid marina

We went to take the boat out today. Last weekend we washed and waxed it and put the canvas back on it. We snapped on ALL of the canvas when we were done.

Today, the boat has the canvas partially unsnapped and the frakkin' boat is filthy inside and someone WALKED on my seats and left them dirty. Aargh. I am going to give the marina an earful on Tuesday when the manager is back. I am guessing that they went to check that the batteries were off before they put it away and didn't snap the canvas back on. But walking on my seats and leaving them dirty??? I am livid.

with my previous boat, i had made an art out of walking on my knees when i had to reboard via the seats. guess marinas dont care quite as much as we do. dont blow up too much on them - they might spit in your food!

Like when someone comes out to work on your boat!! On the bright side MarineMax came out Friday to do some touch up work on our new boat, I showed up to get some learning time in and he has those white plastic throw away booties on...pretty cool in my book.

What always frustrates me in these scenarios, is that you really feel like you have to "parent" the people you entrust to do a good job.

Things like this should be a given and common sense would dictate that people want their stuff the way they left it and taken care of.

had the same thing happen to our boat when MM wrapped it 2 years ago... a filthy mess with sneaker prints all over my cushions! I know it's just kids doing this stuff but don't managers keep an eye on them? I used Mr ShrinkWrap of NJ last year, 50% of the cost and 2x the quality! Anyone looking for shrink wrap in southern NJ / Phila area - I recommend them highly.
