Stuck speedometer on a 2002 240 Sundeck

Can anyone assist a novice boater with a stuck speedometer on an '02 Sundeck?

All other gauges seem to be operating normally, including fuel and battery, but speedometer is stuck at 28 mph. Not sure if a cable came loose, or if I'm looking at a fuse issue?

Can anyone offer some advice?

You probably have something lodged in the pickup hole. It towards the bottom of the leading edge of the lower unit.
