Have a 2000 Sundancer 290 with twin 5.0 Mercruisers and Bravo 2 drives. All of a sudden, my stbd drive will not raise using either the trim switch OR the trailer up switch. Did some electrical testing and the pump and both solenoids are fine....jumped the raise solenoid on that drive pump and it went up fine. Started tracing wires and the trim switch on the shifter put out power in the up position. Then checked the trailer up switch which has one power in wire and two separate power out wires....when I hit the trailer up button it only puts power to the port pump so I’m thinking the trailer up switch is bad. I swapped the wires on it and it raised the stbd drive just fine. My question is this.....is this a special switch or will any old off/mom-on switch work? And for that matter, what is keeping me from just making a jumper wire to connect the two output wires, at least temporarily...or will that back feed something it shouldn’t?
Thanks for any input.

Putting those two wires together *may* connect the two pumps in parallel meaning both both drives would be effected by either switch. Likely if they have 2 separate contactors on the switch it is to provide separate control.

That’s exactly what I was thinking about as far as the two pumps connecting......that’s why I hoped someone else has been through this.
