So I was driving a golf cart on Bald Head Island and ran out of power at night and had to leave the cart on the road, then wife grounds the boat and we get stranded by Top Sail (lucky we get pulled off of the sand and no damage), and then when we are about to leave for our journey home the dog bolts away and alomost gets stranded behind. Thank goodness I am going back to work today.:smt101

Ummmmm, Knot Quiet, did you not get the email? We picked you to be the sacrificial virgin for this weekend. That entails you being the one that all the bad stuff happens to so the rest of us could go boating in peace, knowing you were standing tall, taking care of all that bad stuff for us.

You have our undying sympathy and thanks for taking that on.

On a more relevant note, I hope you found you desk clean and not full of work when you got back there.

Bummer dude !!! hadn't heard about the dog. Next weekend gonna be better.

Sorry about your misadventures. I bet though you will be back out next weekend. :) Bald Head used to have golf cart charging stations for when your batteries died. And we used to turn the golf cart lights out at night to conserve batteries and drive by moon or star light. That was in my younger years. :)

The week started great. Message to travel to Miami for 4 days and fly back in time to go back to the boat. Also the adventures helped my agruement to the Admiral for another boat around the ICW as a beach boat.:smt038 I am also looking forward to the next cruise. Sadler- I tried turning off the lights, but it was so dark I was running off the road. When we ran out of power, I had to hike up my pant shorts to show some leg and get a ride. We were immediately picked up, and I am not sure if it was my manly leg, or the fact that I had the Admiral and my daughter with me.:smt043

Glad you were able to wangle a ride, whatever it was that drew your ride in. :) Yes, a 340 is definitely not a beach boat. How about a dinghy to take along for your beach boat? I couldn't live without my dinghy.
