Stove top/counter

THE ADMIRAL wants to rig a working surface on top of the stove when it is not being used for cooking.
Has anyone done this with some success?

What model and year boat do you own? My 260DA has a glass cover that fits over the stove (standard) and you can use the surface for work the way it is.

I have the same type set up also. A corian cover over the electric stove top and one also that covers the sink area. We never "cook" on the boat , but its a nice area for making snacks.
