Stolen Bravo 3 Outdrive

Who is the insurance company?
This is truly scary to me, My 30yo Bravo1 prolly not get paid squat and $14k is more than the boat value. I would be screwed.
It is Geico. I think they recently merged with BoatUs. I mentioned that my insurance didn't cover much as I was swiping my credit card for the final $4000 and the repair shop owner said, "Yeah, they get you for depreciation." So it must be a story he hears a lot.

One consolation is that 14,000 airline miles is enough to make it almost all the way to Hawaii! :D

5 Hours labor! They need to hire some thiefs, if they can steal it in a few minutes, they can put it back on fairly quick!
I think the OP may have had the lower shift cable replaced. There is a line item for “cable kit shift”.

Labor was one thing that was covered in full. Yes, they replaced the cable, although they originally commented on how neatly the thieves did the job, including disconnecting that cable.

Man this thread, and some of the storage threads make me thankful I have my own shop.

@JayhawkCurtis Lucky! I have to keep my boat AND my Snorkelift outside!
Thanks, I rented a little building for years that was barely big enough to get my boat, jeep and jet skis in, and that was tight. This shop came for sale in the COVID spring and was not selling, so I low ball offered and got it. Has 2 overhead beam hoists, a bathroom with a shower, big air compressor and dry blast cabinet. It is insulated and has a big overhead shop heater. I absolutely love it.

edit: it is right next door to our local liquor store, and there is nothing wrong with that!

My god, that garage is my dream. In NJ that would cost me $300,000 and a wife. Im dealing with a single car shop and shrinkwrap with a zipper. I would never leave my boat in storage at the marina here. Some smelly shitbird would be living on it it the cold months
