Sticking gauges

I have a few gauges that sometimes work and sometime stick in a certain spot. Is this something the can be fixed by replacing the gauge or is the problem somewhere else? I don't want to buy any new ones until im sure of the problem. The gas gauge is sometimes correct and then at times drops to empty while there is plenty of fuel in the tank. The oil pressure and temp seem to like to stick rather than drop to zero when shut down.

I'm having a similar problem with my fuel gauge (the sender has already been replaced). Is whatever you PM'ed Michael general gauge troubleshooting info? Thanks...

Michael, how was your self delivery cruise?

The cruise was great once we got underway. Had some problems when i got to dealer to pick it up. Ended up spending the night in Rock Hall which was nice, the Sea Tow captain (long storey) and people at North Point Marina where we spent the night were awesome. We were probably better off staying over cause the bay was much calmer the next day
