Hi, We where looking to take the Boat for an evening trip for the first time but the stern light doesn't stay on and looks pretty dull when compaired to some of the other Boat lights that I observed.
The Base where the pole goes into appears worn.
Are there any maintenance / replaceable parts or do I change the complete Base (Searay Pt # 928978 for 88.98 plus shipping from Marine Max)
The Stock Pole w / Light also looks a bit worn ( Seay ray Pt # 934117 ) again looks pretty dull when it is on.
Before I go and start swapping parts is there an upgrade newer LED ( Brighter light ) that I should look into
Thanks John G.

There isn't really anything "re-buildable" - other than doing what was mentioned above. Funny thing is, my light just started doing the same thing. Both the male and female contacts get worn. I'm going to try and mess around with it, first. But I'm not holding my breath.

LED's? Yes, they are out there. Still a bit pricey, though, for the whole set-up. I just ordered an LED replacement bulb (about $10). Don't know how it compares - brightness - as I haven't put it in, yet.

Is your style of light the kind with a translucent, white plastic, upside-down cup? If so, that's the older style.

Does your MM have a ship's store? These parts are not Sea Ray specific - probably either Perko or Attwood. For some things, it's advisable to get Sea Ray parts. On things like this, you can buy them from a local marine store and save a few bucks.

Great, Thanks for the info. I assume the light connections are all the same with two Nibs in line? John G
