Hello everyone! Glad I found this site. I have question. Am I missing something or is it an issue on this boat that the Bimini top lays directly on the socket for the stern light. Evertime I go under a bridge on our chain of lakes here in Illinois I have to pull out the stern light and drop the bimini top. Then raise it again to put the stern light in the socket. A real pain! Is there a way to adjust the frame of the top so it clears the socket? Thanks

The only thing I can think of is to actually move the mounts - which could affect the cockpit cover and canvas enclosures if you have them.

Can you fold it forward? Or have someone hold it until you get through?

I assume this is only an issue at night, since you're referring to the anchor light?

Lazy Daze,

Yes it is an issue at night while underway. The Bimini top is not deployed it is folded up with it's cover on but it is so darn heavy and takes to two people to raise or lower that I have to throw the engine in neutral and help the other person set it up or drop it and remove the stern light drive under the bridge then back into neutral with engine to set it up and attach the stern light. Not much fun with boat traffic going in both direction in the dark!

Could you take some pictures of what you are talking about. Are you laying the bimini all the way down?
