I am not sure when they started haveing entry ways on to the Weekender. My 76 30' srv has no entry way and you have to climb over to get on board. Has anyone attempted to make a cut out so as to make it easier for older or hadicapped people to get in. Is ther any type of step system that gets you over the stern of the boat.

Thanks
Tom

My 82 has to be "hurdled" also. Not always easy. Maybe check with a yard that does glass work. I don't see why it couldn't be done.

If you look through the older searays you will find that there was always the option of the stern entry way but never on the SRV model, The SRV model was avalible in many different sizes from the 20 up to the 34 or 36 i am not possitive but it was a hull designation and basicly ment they had solid transoms, from what the searay dealer told me about it (I was asking because i have a 84 270 that doesn't have a door and a friend has a 83 that does) is that they actually used diffenent materials in the hull of the SRV's that made them alot stronger and resistant to rot, that is what makes the line so sought after. At least that is what i am told

My 87 Sundancer has one. I don't remember ever seeing a late eighties Sundancer without one.

This guy seems to do a nice job on his Bayliner
Transom Door install

It's an older boat as well, and in lieu of Fiberglassing it in the wood doesn't look half bad once finished.
