Well i made the move and installed the CMD7, it was a plug and play but i wasnt able to run the aux cord or the usb cord to the helm as i planned. I originally was going to secure the cords to the existing remote wire and pull it through but no luck, it wouldnt budge. So i wil have to look into that more next week.

So now i have the itch and want to replace by Clarion cockpit speakers and wil be doing so with JL Audio speakers. My delimma is going with the 6.5 or the 7.7. I do not have an amp and not sure if i will be installing one in the future.

With out the amp 6.5 is a better sound option...

I would install an Amp anyways, Your Clarion doesn't put out any wattage to get the JL's powered up, I know... I have them...6.5 and 7's amps are cheap and they do so much more for you.... it's worth the money spent..

I think the 6.5's fit perfectly without any cutting and the 7.7's require a little surgery to get them to fit.
