I have the (original) Clarion M5470 stereo radio in my 340 Sundancer. The radio works fine.
I do not use the 6CD changer nor do I use the cassette for playing cassettes anymore. However, I DO use the cassette player for a wireless bluetooth (BT) cassette adapter that allows me to play music from my phone.
This adapter is no longer working properly in the cassette slot. It only plays the right side speakers and NOT the left side.

Has anyone swapped the old stereo for a new one? If so, can anyone make a recommendation for either:
(1) suggest a New Radio that I can swap for the old radio (ideally, an easy as possible swap out/swap in installation)???
(2) And/or suggest a new bluetooth adapter that I can connect to existing system???

Thanks

Check out Fusion Marine units they have some great options, that's what I installed

Here is the Fusion I eventually put in.
If you just want a quick inexpensive swap out I used a BOSS Bluetooth head unit and changed to Pyle speakers in the cockpit for about a year. I was even able to use the stock amp with both. The Fusion unit has WAY more features.
Here’s the BOSS unit I started with just to get tunes on the boat. Easy hookup.

They also have a remote for the stereo that replaces the old one at the helm

I just purchased a system from Amazon, 4 speakers and a head unit for $55 bucks, made by Pyle Marie, sounds good enough for me.

Why are you reposting it.. did you not get good feedback/answers in the other thread?

How difficult was the process of swapping out the old Clarion and installing the new Fusion?
I would think that ALL the wired connections are different???
It's not a one-one conversion???

And now I see you replying to older threads with the same word for word questions...why are you doing this?

The Fusion was a bit more difficult but the basic speaker wiring was easy, just have to go slow. I did one wire at a time and followed the manual. I hired a pro to setup the XM antenna and run a nema back bone to my Garmin so I could control it from there.

Maybe this will help.

I replaced my OEM Clarion stereo with a Sony DSX-M80 head unit, very easy. Unit has bluetooth, 2xUSB, AUX port plus it has built in 45 watt per channel amplifier.
