We finally got to take the boat out this past Sunday for the first time since we bought it last fall. Everything went fine. I have one question. I noticed at very slow speeds the front seems too wander back and forth. You really have to work the steering wheel to keep it straight. Speed up alittle and its fine. steering is tight. Just had a new gimble ring installed this winter. Is this normal for this boat. Would the tabs trimmed down help. Thanks for all the help so far. Hope everyone is having a good season start.

Search for "wandering" or "wavering" or something similar. Yes, very normal - due to prop walk and hydrodynamics. Sometimes tabs down will help. Sometimes changing the drive trim will. Once you get used to it, you'll be correcting for it in your sleep.

I know I've seen threads about this, but sometimes this search engine isn't always the most cooperative. :smt001
