I have a 2000 340 SUndancer. Twin 7.4 Bravo III Mercs
I took the boat out today for the first time this season. It seems that the steering feels stiffer than it has in the past. It may be that I may not be accustomed to the steering. Maybe the effort required to steer the boat is more than I remember since it's today is the 1st time I've taken the boat out this season. The boat steers fine, it just "seems" to require extra muscle to steer it.....
Is there an easy way to determine if the power steeering pump is bad? OR, does the steering cable need lubrication? Or is there something else I should be looking at?
Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions about what to look for and/or check to detgermine the root cause is appreciated.
Thanks
