I have a 2004 280 Sundancer with twin 4.3l MPI Mercruisers. The steering wheel has about 2” of play from side to side before it engages. I pulled the wheel off and tightened the two Allen heads on the threaded rod that hold the steering wheel to the helm. Not quiet sure if there is something loose in the rectangular box under the helm. Also I’m not sure how the system works since each engine has a power steering pump. Has anyone experienced this?
