My steering works too well. Wheel will move when outdrive is in reverse. Causes a problem getting back in my slip. Tied wheel down and was able to dock as normal. There is a small hole on the steering wheel hub. Could this be an adjustment. I need to make the steering a little tighter. Any ideas appreciated. Long time boater, but this is new to me.

I was not aware that the wheel was supposed to lock up when the outdrive is in reverese.

the drives are not supposed to lock. In this case they move too freely. When only one side [ twin engines ] is engaged the wheel will rotate changing the position of the outdrive and thus change the desired direction of the boat. Thanks for the feedback as I really did not make the problem clear. Hope this additional info lends insight.
