Steering help

This is my first post so i hope its in the right place. I have a 1979 srv-260 express cruiser. My steering wheel keeps coming lose. I can not figure it out. I am sure i am missing a jam nut or something. But i can not find anything pics or parts fiches to help me out. Anyne got any ideas.

Are you saying the nut that secures the wheel just keeps backing out ? if so, have you tried some locktite ? Use the one with the lowest holding power so you don't have to break out a torch to remove the wheel later.

look behind your dash panel. if ou have a ride guide steering system, like my one, there is a long screw through the bracket with a nut on the other side. good luck!
