Starting problem. HELP needed

My 400 DB with 454 mercs acted up today.
The port engine started as usual. The starboard engine showed no voltage on the dash gauge and did not even click. With the port running I hit the emergency switch and the starboard switch together and she started however when I released the ES, the starboard engine just died. Strangely I killed the port engine and tried the ES and the starboard switch and got nothing.
I tested all the batteries and all seem good. What am I missing??:huh:
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I still think batteries. Did you load test or just use volt meter

Either dry batteries or a bad ground

The cranking amps are too low. Hold the 'emergency' switch a little longer after the motors both start

Tried that but the engine just died instantly.
Mystified why the starboard only emergency starts while the port is running.

I have had similar problems. It could be the Idle Air Controller. (IAC). There are many post here about them

Solved!! The breaker at the key entry in the panel, hidden by my key attachment, flipped off by accident.
Feel very stupid but really happy it was only that.
